ALBAWABA - Husband of Italian Minister for Family, Birth Rate and Equal Opportunities, Eugenia Roccella, went missing while swimming on June 27, and his body was found on August 4.
Engineer and academic Luigi Cavallari's body was found in Lake Vico approximately 1km away from the place where the 84-year-old went missing 38 days ago.
According to Italian media, Cavallari may have suffered a bad turn after diving into the lake in northern Lazio to cool down amid heat waves in the European country.
During a boat trip with the family, Cavallari jumped into the water to swim before he experienced sudden tiredness and disappeared, while the boat was moving away.
Authorities launched a large-scale search operation involving divers, police and fire crews, using sonar devices, cameras and remotely controlled vehicles, amid difficulties caused by poor underwater visibility, before his body was finally recovered.
