On Tuesday, the Arabic-language hashtag “If Game of Thrones were Kuwaiti” trended on Twitter as Kuwaitis imagined hilarious scenarios via memes showing the show set in the Gulf nation.
Many of the memes showed popular characters and groups from the show in Kuwaiti settings. Here, a group of young Kuwaiti boys are shown as the “free folk”-the group of people who live beyond the wall, not governed by the king:
