In a bid to create an alternate archive system, the Omani Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water has completed the making of photographic copies of 58,242 real estate documents for Muscat Governorate and the wilayat of Masirah. According to ONA, the new system is adopted through internal and external networks by the real estate registration for branches in Sohar, Buraimi, Musandam, Ibri, Nizwa, Ibra, Sur, Musanna’a and Dhofar Governorate.
The photographic copies will be stored in a server as well as tape discs.
