According to Al-ittihad newspaper, statistics issued by the American Ministry of Commerce show that the value of bilateral trade between the UAE and the USA jumped to Dh 24.4 billion ($6.6 billion) in the first half of the current year, up from Dh 16 billion ($4.3 billion) in the corresponding period of last year, an impressive 8.4% growth.
Meanwhile, the bilateral trade balance account between the UAE and the USA indicated a Dh 19.4 billion ($5.2 billion) surplus in favor of the USA by the end of the first half of the current year.
