ALBAWABA - Since being appointed as the supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei has not made a single appearance, not even on public TV or on social media, triggering rumors about his health and current location.
Replacing his father, Mojtaba was also injured in the same attack carried out by the U.S. and Israel that killed Ali Khamenei and other family members on February 28.
According to Reuters, Mojtaba's face was disfigured, and he suffered a significant wound to one or both legs, people close to his inner circle said.
Khamenei also skipped attending the funeral of his father and other family members, which was held across Iran from July 4 to July 9.

Not inside Iran: Where is Mojtaba Khamenei?
An Israeli security official claimed on Sunday that Mojtaba Khamenei has left Iran and that he is residing outside the country amid continued war with the U.S., according to Al Hadath news agency.
According to the Israeli official, Ahmad Vahidi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps since 1 March 2026, and other senior officials are currently writing the messages linked to the supreme leader.
"The internal divisions in Iran are deep and threaten the very existence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps," the source further claimed.
On the other hand, this report was not confirmed or denied by Iranian state media websites, as the location of Mojtaba Khamenei is unknown following his injury. However, an Iranian official said last week that they only contact the supreme leader virtually.
