Land transactions in the emirate of Dubai hit Dh663.97 million over the course of the past week. Of this amount, sales accounted for more than Dh440 million, while the overall value of mortgages issued during the same period was Dh223.63 million.
According to statistics released by the Dubai Land Department, a total of 70 sale transactions were registered by the end of the week, reported in Gulf News.
Of the week's sales transactions, the most valuable was a plot in the Al Nahda-2 area that sold for a staggering Dh43.5 million. The next two most valuable sales of the week were a second plot in the Emirates Hills-2 area bought for the sum of Dh33.38 million, while a third plot of land in the same Emirates Hills-2 area was sold for Dh28.2205 million, the Land Department said.
In terms of rates of activity, the Emirates Hills-1 area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, as some 19 transactions were registered within it alone over the course of the week. The Mirdif area came in second in terms of the number of sales with six plots of land changing hands.
Also over the course of the week, the Emirates Hills-2 area recorded the highest turnover by value, registering Dh76.48 million. Following Emirates Hills-2 was the Muhaisanah-4 area, with a turnover value of Dh63.8 million, and the Al Nahda-2 area, with a Dh51.6 million turnover.
