Well, the attention was a little less on talent show judge Elissa this time as X Factor Arabia aired another episode. Instead, all eyes were fixed on contestant Majdi Al-Sharif. The hopeful singer shared his story of fleeing the violence in Syria and his sorrow at not having seen his family for the past four years. He has been studying in Sweden, but traveled to Beirut to audition for the show.
After performing a stellar rendition of George Wassouf's "El Habayeb", the show management shocked the artist by bringing his long-separated family to the studio. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Majdi embraced his parents and sisters in their first hug together of four years.
We're not sure whether Majdi's biggest win of the night was holding his loved ones close, or getting the judges' approval to move on to the next round of the competition. Either way, this just might have been the best night ever for the singer. Is there more victory in store?
