ALBAWABA - Tuba Büyüküstün and Ahmed Ezz Spark Global Excitement for "The Prince."

Fans of international drama are buzzing this week as new behind-the-scenes glimpses of the highly anticipated series "The Prince" (Al Amir) surfaced online.

The project, a massive collaboration between Egyptian and international talent, has officially ramped up production in Cairo, and the latest photos suggest a production of unprecedented scale.

Stars Align in Cairo

Turkish superstar Tuba Büyüküstün sent social media into a frenzy after sharing a stunning photo overlooking the Nile River with the caption, "See you soon." The actress, beloved for her roles in Black Money Love and The Ambassador’s Daughter, is currently in Egypt filming alongside Egyptian megastar Ahmed Ezz.

Photos from the set captured Tuba and Ezz together, alongside acclaimed Hollywood director Stephen Hopkins. Hopkins, known for his work on the legendary series 24 and the film The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, is bringing a gritty, cinematic edge to this Arab-led production.

A High-Stakes Global Thriller

"The Prince" is not your typical drama. Written by Salah El Gehiny and based on an idea by Turki Al-Sheikh, the series is a fast-paced political thriller.

The story follows an Egyptian officer, played by Ahmed Ezz, who leads a dangerous double life. Caught in a web of international espionage, he must navigate complex global conflicts to prevent an imminent threat.

The cast is a true "who's who" of talent, featuring Ahmed Ezz as the lead officer.

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) sponsors the series, which is produced by Al Hisn Big Time Studios and MBC Shahid, and it is being filmed across Riyadh and Cairo.

It is structured as a high-budget, six-episode event designed for a global audience. Viewers can expect "The Prince" to be broadcast in Arabic with English subtitles to ensure it reaches its international fanbase quickly. While filming is currently in full swing, the series is positioned as one of the most significant Arab productions for the 2026-2027 season.

With such a powerhouse cast and a world-class director, "The Prince" is poised to bridge the gap between Middle Eastern storytelling and global action cinema.
