Top 2022 Fashion moments, worst and best

ALBAWABA - During 2022, stars surprised their fans with their garbs, some were smashing, while others wore attire that people are not accustomed to.

From Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian to Katie Holmes, some celebrities looked simply breathtaking, while others were not impressive, to say the least.

1. Kim Kardashian as Marilyn Monroe

Probably the most iconic look this year was SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian's Marilyn Monroe's Happy Birthday Mr. President look. 

The mother of four dazzled the red carpet during 2022's met gala as she wore legendry actress and singer Marilyn Monroe's exact dress, as she attended the annual event alongside her then-boyfriend former SNL star Pete Davidson. 

The dress's designer Bob Mackie was reportedly upset with Kardashian for wearing the historic piece, arguing that the dress is an iconic garment and should be preserved.

2. Heidi Klum as a worm

For Halloween 2022, Heidi Klum decided to surprise her fans as she wore a perfectly designed worm outfit that was to some extent a bit creepy. 

The supermodel shared: ''I tried to think outside of the box and come up with other things and last year I was thinking, oh, a tree would be really cool, or like, a plant, and then I kind of went from plant to rainworm."

The costume was designed by special effects designer and makeup artist Michael Marino.

3. Kylie Jenner as a footballer bride

On the 2022 Met Gala, business woman and TV personality Kylie Jenner decided to channel a 'bride' costume for the annual event to match the theme "gilded glamour."

The 25-year-old disappointed some of her fans with this look, as it's not the usual breathtaking style Jenner opts for.  She teamed up her outfit with a white backwards baseball cap and a fishnet veil, with a mesh t-shirt over it. 

For jewelry, Jenner accessorized with a necklace that reads 'OFF' that symbolizes the collection from where the gown comes from ''Off-White's Fall 2022 collection''

4. Julia Fox as denim 

Controversial celebrity Julia Fox created a full outfit of One Pair of Jeans. 

And Kanye West's ex-girlfriend took it too far earlier this year, as she destroyed perfectly looking denim items to create this barely-there ensemble.

What looks like a DIY outfit went wrong, as she re-created denim pants into a bag, in addition to somehow designing her boots also out of denim. 

The Italian-American actress cut the top of her jeans and turned it into a barely-there top.

5. Timothée Chalamet in a daring halter jumpsuit

Dune actor Timothée Chalamet dazzled the red carpet at Venice Film Festival earlier this year as he donned a daring look in a halter jumpsuit designed by designer Haider Ackermann.

The backless top came with an attached scarf around the neck and matching fitted trousers.

The star finished the look with black boots and a brooch and rings by Cartier. Let's not forget the killer sunglasses.

6. Bella Hadid's spray-on dress

One of the biggest moment's in this year's Paris Fashion Week was Bella Hadid's spray-on Coperni dress.

The Palestinian supermodel walked in front of the audience with nothing but nude underwear, and the audience watched scientists body spray Hadid, for nearly 10-minutes, until a perfectly beautiful white dress was formed. 

The two scientists sprayed Bella with a misty liquid that eventually turned into wearable material.

7. Blake Lively color-changing gown

Actress Blake Lively stole the show, and trended across social media as she wore a beautiful color-changing gown at the 2022 Met Gala.

For the annual event, Blake wowed a shimmering rose gold gown with an extravagant bow, inspired by the architecture of the Empire State Building.

Afterwards, two people helped the actress remove the bow which revealed a dramatic train that transformed the dress into a light blue skirt covered in an embroidered celestial map based on the ceiling of Grand Central Station.

Finishing it up, Blake eventually looked like the statue of Liberty as the colors of her dress had copper and blue-green, with a crown over her head. 

8. Rihanna's $29K Pregnancy announcement outfit

Diamonds singer Rihanna, blessed her followers and fans with the news of her expecting a child with her boyfriend rapper A$AP rocky earlier this year. 

And for the announcement, she shared pictures from a photoshoot she took with the rapper where she wore a $29.000 outfit. 

Rihanna showed of her growing baby bump in a pink Chanel puffer by late designer Karl Lagerfield. 

The ''Diamonds'' singer wore low-rise jeans that excessively dragged to the floor, for jewelry she wore a dazzling jewel and pearl necklace that draped pass her stomach.

9. Katie Holmes in a dress and jeans 

Katie Holmes brought back the 2000s era, as she rocked a mini dress, jeans and sneakers as she attended the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert in New York City.

The actress wore a navy strapless Tove, which some has referred to as a 'mini dress' and paired it with denim jeans black New Balance sneakers. 

Holmes trended all over social media with her fashion choice, and people just felt like they are back in the good old golden days when it was cool to rock denim jeans with a dress. 

10. Kourtney Kardashian in a waist bandage

Attending her first Met earlier this year, Kourtney Kardashian admitted that she did not give the theme which was "gilded glamour" much thought, and stated that she did not dress for the theme. 

The Poosh founder arrived at the red carpet with the love of her life, Travis Barker, and wore an outfit that disappointed most of her fans and Twitter followers. 

Kardashian wore a "deconstructed" version of Barker's outfit, she wore a cropped button-down shirt with a short tie worn loose around her shoulders, and a high waisted skirt that had what it looked like a white bandage around the waist, and the bottom section was black with white stitching.
