Tunisian actress Dorra Zarrouk has settled the controversy following her marriage to Egyptian interior designer Hani Saad.
Dorra was accused of stealing Hani from his first wife and children to the point where she was branded as a 'home wrecker'.
In a new radio interview with Tunisia's first private radio station Mosaïque FM, Dorra has clarified the truth.
Zarrouk confirmed that she married a divorced man and added that he wanted to start a new life with her, denying all rumors that she is the second wife, or that she stole him from his first family, especially that second marriages are criminalized by Tunisian law.
Dorra said: "I thank everyone who congratulated me and was happy for me. I was hoping all my friends from Tunisia would be present, but unfortunately Coronavirus circumstances prevented them."
"I wanted to confirm that I am married to a divorced man who chose to continue his life with me, and I say to those who spread rumors and fish in troubled waters, may God guide them."
"Every human being is free in his choices and his private life .. I chose a man who loves me and I love him, and marriage is the natural legitimate path we are guided to by our Lord because we love each other. And I hope people would stop talking about me, and thanks to everyone who is happy for me".
