Actor/singer Midhat Saleh and comedian Sharif Munir will team up for the first time ever for a movie entitled Al Labees (The Clothes Man).
According to Al Sharq El Awsat newspaper, although the duo have collaborated for Saleh’s music video, Al Milyonerat (The Millionaires), this is the first Silver Screen try.
Meanwhile, the London based daily said that comedian Ahmad Adam was scheduled to take on Munir’s role, but he apologized due to his prior commitment to another film, Al Rajul Al Abiad Al Mutawaset (The White Middle Man).
As for the film at hand, it depicts the story of a young singer who goes to Cairo with his friend/assistant in order to achieve fame.
However, the friends fall out and the assistant decides to join a belly dancer’s group.
But, as a friend in need, the singer finds that only his ex-friend/assistant is ready to be by his side. – Albawaba.com.
