ALBAWABA - Netflix streamed a new trailer for their upcoming Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime series yesterday, Oct. 14, 2023, and it looks absolutely stunning thanks to Japan's Science Saru.
The anime will be animated by the Japanese anime studio, Science Saru, known for great series such as Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! and Devilman: Crybaby.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel that goes by the same name and has been confirmed that many of the live-action movie's cast will be coming back to voice their characters in the animated show including:
- Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim
- Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers
- Ellen Wong as Knives Chau
- Brie Larson as Envy Adams
- Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells

Bryan Lee O'Malley is the writer and executive producer for the project with the aid of BenDavid Grabinski who is known for his work on Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Joining as executive producer as well is Edgar Wright, the director of Scott Pilgrim's live-action movie released in 2010 with his producing partner Nira Park, Michael Bacall as co-writer, Marc Platt Productions, Jared Leboff, and Adam Seigel.

Scott Pilgrim tells the story of a 20-something-year-old rocker from Toronto, Canada as he struggles in life jumping from one job to another while also avoiding getting kicked out of his apartment.
Moreover, Scott is faced with a new challenge after falling in love with the new girl in town, forcing him to survive the wrath of her seven exes.
The graphic novel which ran from 2004 to 2010 inspired a live-action movie, a video game and an animated short by Titmouse Studios in 2010.
Expect Scott Pilgrim Takes Off to hit Netflix worldwide on Nov. 17, 2023.
