ALBAWABA - Renowned Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred went viral across social media after taking to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and announcing his interest in launching a cryptocurrency.
Lamjarred only announced his interest in cryptocurrency on Musk's X where he wrote, "My dear fans and followers, I’m planning to launch my own token, but I want to do it differently not the usual way."
He stated further, "My goal is to create a token that genuinely benefits my fans and followers, with tokenomics designed to bring communities closer together. I’d love for it to tie into my events, concerts and offer exclusive meet-ups for token holders. I’m open to creative suggestions!"
Is Saad Lamjarred launching his own cryptocurrency?
This also comes after the singer also launched his fashion clothing brand. Saad Lamjarred seemed torn between launching his token on BNB Chain and Solana. Fans also expressed their excitement about Lamjarred's entry into the cryptocurrency world.
On the contrary, several others recommended against Lamjarred's plans to launch a token and wrote, "Please don't do it; there hasn't been a single successful celebrity coin! There's no way to prevent the token from being sniped and dumped! we've seen this situation repeatedly on the timeline!"
The famous Moroccan singer seems to be jumping on the bandwagon of celebrities launching their cryptocurrency tokens including US President Donald Trump, Akon, Iggy Azela, Soulja Boy, Davido, and many more.
Even controversial American rapper Kanye West recently appeared on social media alongside Ansem, a notable figure in the cryptocurrency community. Rumors about the rapper launching his own token also swarmed the internet.
