ALBAWABA - Reports alleged tragic deaths of filmmaker Rob Reiner and wife.

According to several people who have talked to the family, Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were killed by their son, Nick. The story has not yet been confirmed by the police.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) was called to a house to give medical help on Sunday, December 14, at around 3:30 p.m. When they got there, they found two people dead: a guy aged 78 and a woman aged 68. Sources say that Rob and Michele were the victims.

The police say that 32-year-old Nick is living and being questioned. Arrests have not been made.

Rob is an actor, writer, and director who has worked on some of Hollywood's most loved movies. His first film as a director was This Is Spinal Tap in 1984. He went on to direct Stand by Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally... (1989), Misery (1990), and A Few Good Men (1992).

He became popular for the first time playing Mike on the Norman Lear TV show All in the Family.

Rob's birthday is in 1947, and he was born in the Bronx, New York. His father was Carl Reiner, a famous comic, and his mother was Estelle Lebost, an actress and singer.

Rob was the director of and introduced Michele to Rob, and they met. When Harry met Sally, they got married in 1989 and had three children together.

Before this, Rob was married to Penny Marshall, who passed away in 2018 at 75 years old because of problems related to diabetes.

In a 2016 interview with PEOPLE, Nick spoke about his years-long struggle with drug addiction, which began in his early teens and eventually left him living on the streets. He said he cycled in and out of rehab beginning around age 15, but as his addiction escalated, he drifted farther from home and spent significant stretches homeless in multiple states.

Nick said that the chaotic period of addiction—including nights and sometimes weeks sleeping outside—later became the basis for the semi-autobiographical film Being Charlie, which he co-wrote.

“Now, I've been home for a really long time, and I've sort of gotten acclimated back to being in L.A. and being around my family," Nick told PEOPLE at the time.
