ALBAWABA - The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, recently announced that her chemotherapy treatment was over. Since then, she's attended her first engagement.
On Tuesday, Kate, 42, who is married to Prince William, heir to the British throne, returned to her job as host of a meeting at Windsor Castle.
The Court Circular, an official record of royal family activities both outside and inside the palace, reported that "The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales" held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle earlier today.
Kate gave the health update last week, with a "new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life" and a confirmation that she was "doing what I can to stay cancer-free."
The princess expressed her gratitude for the support and understanding during the past nine months, saying, "I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can." The video message, which shows the family enjoying the English summer together, is deeply personal.
The Court Circular did not record any other specifics of the discussion, although Kate's aides have previously referred to her years of concentration on early infant development as her "life's work."
It has become apparent that Kate has been working remotely throughout her treatment, attending team meetings and communicating with personnel from her early-years institution.
Resuming a modest schedule of public engagements for the rest of the year, she will continue to concentrate on her rehabilitation in the months ahead.
Also in November, she will likely pay her respects at the Cenotaph in London at the annual Remembrance Day ceremony.
