She's best known for playing Ann Perkins in comedy Parks and Recreation.

But Rashida Jones revealed that she failed to see the funny side of being bitten by Michael Jackson's pet chimp Bubbles, as a youngster.

The 40-year-old actress - whose father Quincy Jones produced Jackson's Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad albums - explained to Vice that the famed pet once sank his teeth into her hand.'

Recounting the harrowing encounter, the beauty told hosts Desus & Mero that they had picked a pertinent question, when they explained they had a segment about being bitten by a monkey.

'That's a crazy coincidence. I'm the right person for this segment.' she joked.

With her brunette tresses in a neat bob with bangs, the stylish beauty relived her horror.

'I got attacked. By Bubbles. Bubbles. Michael Jackson...' she sighed.

'You can see still,' she added, pointing at a scar on her hand.

'He was wearing a little full - like a little - overall jumpsuit and a striped shirt. To pretend he was a human,' she told them.

'He also looked me dead in my eye. While he was biting me. I was trying to punish him because he threw something at me. And I like hit him on the head and say 'no. Because I had seen Michael [Jackson] trying to punish him before.

'And he looked me dead in the eye and went [motions biting her hand]. It was like white for ten minutes. It was pouring blood.

She added that Bubbles had no regrets about his encounter: 'He was like, "I'm the man",' she concluded.

Bubbles was renowned for living at Neverland Ranch with Jackson, where he slept in a crib in his bedroom and shared his bathroom.

However, in 2003, like many captive chimpanzees, Bubbles had matured into a large and aggressive adult chimp unsuitable as a companion animal so was sent to a California animal trainer.

Bubbles was later moved to the Center for Great Apes, a sanctuary in Wauchula, Florida, where he has lived since 2005.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, and his personal physician, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in relation to his death.

Rashida has written the screenplay for Toy Story 4 which is currently in production, and set to be released on June 21, 2019.
