ALBAEABA - After receiving backlash for advising women to leave abusive spouses, Mia Khalifa has spoken out.

A previous video in which the adult film actress discussed her three marriages and encouraged women to "be afraid" to leave unhappy spouses sparked outrage, which the diva recently addressed in a TikTok video. The 30-year-old's comment was initially well-received by fans, but others were critical of her for offering marital advice given her past dating experience.

She said, "I'm failing to see what's wrong with telling young women—who get married young—that they are not stuck in these relationships just because they made a 'commitment.'" She addressed young women who are experiencing discomfort in unhealthy, poisonous marriages.

According to Khalifa, the "men who are the toxic ones in these relationships" are the primary culprits behind the "mad" internet behavior.

"The ones who are scared of their wives will have epiphanies, make their own decisions, and abandon them," she said. Their relationships are likely held together by their families, religion, and the "promise" they made.

In response to the negative feedback she received, the influencer said in her most recent TikTok video that she is "failing to see what's wrong" with her views and suggestions on marriage.

She recounted her 18-year marriage and subsequent 21-year divorce in her debut video, which went live on July 31. In addition, she said that she tied the knot for the second time when she was 25 years old, only to end her marriage when she was 28 years old. She also disclosed that she engaged again at the age of 29, only to break off the engagement at the age of 30.

As she reflected on her own love life, she encouraged other women by saying, "We should not be afraid to leave these men," meaning that they are not trapped with her romantic partners.

Getting married isn't a holy ritual; it's just a legal formality. "If you feel like you're not getting anything from that commitment, you gotta go," she remarked, referring to the commitment one makes to another. "You must depart."

Divorce isn't "easy" when both parents have children, as she admitted in a follow-up video she uploaded on the same day. On the other hand, she warned that the unhappy couple's decision to remain together might have long-term consequences for their children.
