ALBAWABA - The release date for one of the most anticipated games of 2025, "Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater," has been accidentally leaked on the PlayStation store, sparking excitement about Konami's next masterpiece amid the release of Silent Hill 2's remake.
According to leaks circulating on social media platforms, including Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter), "Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater" will be released on Aug. 28, 2025, and will reportedly feature an enhanced version for Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro.

While many shared their excitement about the news, several others expressed their disappointment due to the date being further away than expected.
One user wrote on X, "Wish it was earlier around May or something," while another added, "So late in the year."
Take in mind that Konami's upcoming game will also be released on Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows. "Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater" is a full remake of the 2004 title, "METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER" which is known for having the longest ladder climb in gaming history.
"METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER" is considered one of the best video games of all time and has sold more than four million copies worldwide as of March 2010. It was praised for its excellent gameplay, storyline, cutscenes, and protagonist but was lacking in fields such as the game's lackluster camera and frame rate, which players are hoping will be addressed in the remake.

Konami witnessed a great comeback in 2024 after the release of Silent Hill 2's remake, prior to receiving widespread hate and criticism after abandoning its fanbase and going down the NFT and Pachinko machines (An arcade game used mainly in Japan for gambling).
The Japanese gaming giant also faced significant criticism after laying off game developer Hideo Kojima in 2015who created many games under Konami including the Metal Gear Franchise, Policenauts, and Snatcher.
Kojima later went on to create the critically acclaimed game studio, "Kojima Productions," best known for Death Stranding and its upcoming title, OD in collaboration with American comedian Jordan Peele.
