Late 60s icon Dalida comes back to life in French biopic

When we say "Kelma 7elwa w kelmeteen," you say?: "7elwa ya baladi." That's right!

Those are one of late iconic singer Dalida's most famous song lyrics, and now she's coming back to life in an upcoming French biopic with the same name. 

On 11 January 2017, you will see Italian actress Sveva Alviti play the gorgeous redhead superstar, alongside Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio, who will play her brother and manager Orlando.

Born Yolanda Cristina Gigliotti in Cairo on 17 January 1933, Italian-French Dalida performed and recorded in more than ten languages, including Arabic, Italian, Greek, German, French, English, Japanese, Hebrew, Dutch and Spanish, and sold over 130 million records worldwide before committing suicide in Paris in 1987. 

The Dalida film trailer was finally released on October 30, and we were very impressed with Sveva's accurate impersonation of the 60's star.
