A film being touted as Israel’s first zombie movie features "Khezbollah" aka Hezbollah as the villainous masterminds behind a chemical weapon that triggers the zombie apocalypse, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported Tuesday.

Shot deliberately in the style of a cheap American horror film and drawing on the success of Resident Evil and World War Z, Cannon Fodder pits a group of Israeli soldiers against flesh-eating zombies.

One scene of the trailer appears to show clumsily-veiled “Arab” zombies tearing into human flesh with their bare teeth.

Writer and director Eitan Gafny told the paper he wanted to make a “fun” movie that courted controversy from the Israeli Right and Left.

“We knew that the leftists would say that all the zombies are Arabs and the rightists would say that we are legitimizing the right of return,” Gafny was quoted saying.

“We wanted extreme reactions.”
