Was Haifa Wehbe really attacked, raped, and filmed in a Beirut hotel? It would seem not. One too many websites to ignore have recently circulated news of Lebanese singer babe-pop-icon Haifa Wehbi being raped in one of Beirut’s hotels by a hotel bellboy/ room service staff.
To add insult to injury, it was rumored that this employee had filmed the whole incident. Haifa and her office’s silence colluded to fanning the flames of the rumor even further.
However, it is not hard to assume that this is probably nothing but a vicious fabrication, as many of the websites that posted the news offered a picture and a (misleading) video of the alleged incident: when viewers try to open the video, they soon discover the red-herring or decoy that is an old video of an interview for Haifa Wehbi on LBC. This specific video was taken while she was in hospital for an accident during the shooting of one of her video clips.
Even the attached photo accompanying the news article actually belongs to the same TV interview, the very same hospital and the image can be attributed to the same accident.
The other question that comes mind is why would our sultry Haifa stay in a hotel when she owns a house in Beirut?
It should be noted that this rumor arose after the unusual success of Haifa’s latest album “Miss Universe” over a range social media, even ahead of regular release. On iTunes, it ranked 19 amongst another 200 odd international albums. A poor-taste publicity promotional stunt? Or, sabotage by a rival? Oh dear, will the fans, or the entourage never learn...
