Things should be looking up finally for the Syrian Sultan of Music, George Wassouf, who is said to be stabilizing following a rough year battling with strokes and illness.

George’s close friend and producer of some of his albums, Mohammad Musa, told people to pay no attention to reports that the star's health was on a downward spiral.  Musa instead took pains to put word out that his friend George's health was not deteriorating but on the contrary picking up, at the same time urging the media to be more accountable for what they publish.

According to MBC.net, George is in Sweden currently undergoing a remedial physical therapy program. He hopes to be back in  Lebanon to continue his rejuvination as well as complete the finishing touchs on his new album, expected out by the end of the year.

The new album, called “Thikrayat” (Memories), probably harks back to better times, and features six collaborations with other musical talents.
