Award winning British band Coldplay return to Abu Dhabi for another spectacular New Year’s Eve show at the du Arena, Yas Island on Saturday, 31 December. Tickets start from AED 350 and go on sale today at 12PM, Wednesday, 30 November through www.ticketmaster.ae and all Virgin Megastores across the UAE. With a reputation for spectacular live shows, Coldplay have circled the globe seven times, performing to an ever-increasing number of fans in every corner of the world. In 2015, the band released their seventh album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ and since March 2016 their global tour A Head Full Of Dreams Tour has played to ecstatic audiences across Latin America, the US and Europe, including four sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. More than 2.5 million tickets have already been sold for the show. The tour reaches Australia and New Zealand in December and in 2017 it will continue around the globe, with millions of tickets already sold.
The album bursts with energy, colour and big, life-affirming, moments such as the hit singles Adventure Of A Lifetime and the rocket-powered Hymn For The Weekend. The album reached number one on iTunes in more than 90 countries and has already sold more than 3 million copies.
The band, which came together in late 1997, have gone on to become one of the most popular music acts on the planet, selling more than 80 million copies of their seven albums. They’ve also filled their trophy cabinet with almost every major music award there is (including seven Grammys and nine BRITs).
