ALBAWABA - A statement released by the legal office of Egyptian actress Asmaa Galal states that the star is opening an official lawsuit after her appearance in the prank show "Ramez Level El Wahsh".
Galal has decided to take legal action against her colleague, Ramez Galal, due to the offensive language and statements he made during her appearance on his Ramadan prank show.
The legal office representing Asmaa Galal stated that the Egyptian actress participated in the program, thinking that it was an entertainment show based on the usual surprise elements, but she was neither presented with nor informed beforehand about any content, including the voiceover for the introduction, which was added during the editing process.
The artist considered the introduction to contain offensive language, bullying, and inappropriate physical and personal remarks that violated her dignity and were unrelated to the prank's concept.
The statement emphasized that the presenter's remarks went beyond acceptable humor or artistic criticism, falling into the realm of moral harm and personal abuse. It further noted that participating in any entertainment program does not imply accepting humiliation or becoming the subject of ridicule.
Fans are split between people who supported Asmaa for opening an official lawsuit against Ramez Galal over his inappropriate comments on her, while others said that it is useless, claiming that stars know they usually get informed that they'll be part of the prank show, and they are paid to appear next to Ramez Galal.
A person wrote on X, "Asmaa Galal and her lawyer are playing the audience for fools. First of all, you're on a plane, knowing you're going to Ramez Galal's show, and I think Ramez's show has become just an introduction that's literally a humiliation of the guest, with no one paying attention to the prank itself. Secondly, you're expecting the episode to air after it's already been broadcast, so stop trying to fool us."
Every year, people wait to see the new prank show by Egyptian star Ramez Galal, who used to surprise his fans with a new great idea during the holy month of Ramadan.
This Ramadan, Galal explained in a television interview that his new show is inspired by the popular Korean drama "Squid Game," saying, "Have you heard of a game called 'Squid Game'? Well, this year I'm doing a 'Squid Game'!"
