Last night's episode of Arabs Got Talent was filled with some cool and wonderful, and less-than-impressive, acts!
The show kicked off with Syrian contestant Mohammad Al Khatib. The audience and judges weren't quite sure whether his talent was singing or impersonating celebs. He did however make it on to the next round.
Someone who was sure about their exact talent was American singer Jennifer. Although she can't speak a word of Arabic, Jennifer stunned the judges and audience alike with her rendition of legendary Egyptian singer Um Kulthum's “Ba'eed Annak Hayati Azab” (My Life is Suffering Away From You). Not only that, but the young singer was playing the Arabic musical instrument the Oud as well. Those were the easiest four yeses the judges gave on the night.
Next up was wannabe rapper Khadijah Fharek. The young Lebanese wasn't too impressive for two of the judges and wasn't given the go ahead. But Khadija wouldn't take no for an answer and insisted on singing more and more rap songs, until she was given the thumbs up.
Palestinian Dabkeh group “Al Koufeyyeh” (A white & black Palestinian scarf) showed everyone what Palestinian dancing is all about. Their fun spirit earned them a place in the next round.
Another person showing their fun spirit was autistic Moroccan contestant Natheer Amar, who impressed the judges with his juggling talent and not giving up to his illness. He sure did go ahead to round 2 of the competition.
A 63-year-old grandpa from the double act "Golden Legs," performed a circus act with his young son, Mohammad Shareef, with flexibility and moves that were impressive for a man his age. Judge Ali Jaber said that it was the best circus act he'd ever seen. Sadly, the young child passed away not long after filming the show. MBC dedicated the episode to young Mohammad.
The episode ended on a high note with contestant Haji from Egypt trying out for a place in round 2. His weird yet comical rap performance earned him a place in the next stage of the competition.
What more will this week's final auditions episode bring?
