Prominent Egyptian actress Abla Kamel has announced that she will be resigning from her acting career permanently. Alba stated that she will make the step after completing the scenes of her final project the television drama “Al Huroob” (The Escape) alongside Egyptian actor Kareem Abd Al Aziz. The drama, which is written by Bilal Fadel and directed by Mohammad Ali, is scheduled to be aired in the Ramadan season of 2012.
Director Ahmad Al Sabki had stated that he was shocked when he offered Abla a leading role in his upcoming film and she turned down the offer. Abla had informed Ahmad that her refusal is not over financial matters or a disinterest in the film, but rather due to the fact that she has decided to quit her acting career.
Ahmad said that Abla’s decision is a final one and she will not back down, especially after his numerous attempts to do otherwise and continue her career.
