This is it, Arab Idol 3 is down to its final three contestants after months of battling it out for the winning title.

It's been an exhilarating ride - many ups and downs included - but this Saturday night the singing competition is coming to an end, and a new Arab Idol 2014 will finally be crowned.

Saudi Majid Al Madani, 26, Palestinian Haitahm Khalailah, 24, and Syrian Hazem Sharif, 21 will have to sing their hearts out this weekend if they're to get their fans to pick up the phone and vote!

The question on everyone's minds is: Will another Palestinian win this Season too? Last year, against all odds, Gaza native Mohammed Assaf won Season 2 of the competition. He's now an international superstar with numerous achievements under his belt.

Egyptian singer Karmen Sulaiman was the memorable winner of Season 1.

But what made this season any different to the past two? For the first time, this year witnessed the participation of Emirati, Saudi and Yemeni young men up to the semi-final stage. Heck, they even had a Japanese woman audition in September!

Just in time for Christmas, the reality show's winner will have a stocking full of gifts: 250,000 Saudi riyals ($66,000); a contract with Platinum Records; production of three singles; a video clip and a trip to the Seychelles courtesy of Emirates airline, a main sponsor of the show this year.

Once the moment of truth is over, UAE singer Hussain al Jasmi will perform on the Idol stage.

Arab Idol 3 is showing on MBC1 and MBC Masr on Friday and Saturday at 6.05 GMT (10.05pm Dubai time).
