ALBAWABA A six-year-old boy with disabilities died after his mother allegedly threw him into a waste canal connected to the Kali river in Karnataka, India.

The 26-year-old woman reportedly carried out this act following a dispute with her 27-year-old husband, who had expressed disdain for their disabled child.

The couple's disagreements over the boy were ongoing. After a heated argument, the distressed mother threw her son into the river, known for its crocodile population.

Despite a search operation by police prompted by concerned neighbors, the boy, described as speech-disabled, remained untraceable until his body was discovered the next day. He was found with severe injuries consistent with a crocodile attack.

The parents, who also have a two-year-old son, have been arrested and charged with abetment of offense and murder under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Authorities plan to conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
