Woman found lasagna that had expired in March 1997

ALBAWABA A woman found lasagne that had expired in March 1997 in the back of her mother's cupboard  amongst her camping gear, and she posted its picture on social media.

Finding a lasagne that expired in 1997 in the back of a cupboard is quite an astonishing discovery! It's not uncommon for people to come across forgotten or expired items when cleaning out old storage spaces.

Orla Walsh, a nutritionist, recently posted a picture on Twitter of a pasta dish from the distant past after her mum decided to declutter the freezer.

The lasagne, now a relic of over four decades, has garnered an astonishing four million views on Twitter, sparking numerous comments from curious users.

Lasagna pasta, often referred to simply as "lasagna," is a type of wide, flat pasta with origins in Italy. It is a key component of the popular Italian dish called "Lasagne" (plural of lasagna).

Lasagne is a layered dish made with alternating layers of pasta, a rich meat or vegetable sauce, and various cheeses, typically topped with a final layer of cheese.

Food items, especially perishable ones like lasagne, generally have a limited shelf life, and it's not safe to consume them after such an extended period. Eating food that has been stored for that long can pose health risks due to potential bacterial growth and degradation of quality.
