Godly gamers looking to 'follow the same path of Jesus Christ' can play a new simulator that lets them live the life of the Messiah.

A trailer for the biblical video game - 'I Am Jesus Christ' - was released on Saturday on Steam - the same platform that announced in September that KFC was launching a culinary video game.

'I am Jesus Christ' pegs itself as a 'realistic simulator game inspired by stories from the New Testament of the Bible.'

Developed by SimulaM, the game covers the period from when Jesus was baptized to his Resurrection.

The trailer for the game shows Jesus performing a series of his more popular miracles - including healing a blind woman's eyesight and walking on water - before showing him being crucified.

The clip ends with Jesus exiting his tomb following the resurrection - seemingly the last part of the game.

Players will get to have a 'realistic fight with Satan' in the desert and even exorcise demons.

'Pray like Him to get your Holy Spirit's power and help people around you,' the game description reads. 'Fight with evil, make miracles, resurrect dead, feel and act like Him.'

The game is set in an open-world and offers more than 30 miracles, including: calming storms, feeding the hungry and healing the sick.

Baptizing followers helps increase Jesus' power. The Holy Spirit is treated as a super power in the game.

While a date for the game has not been released, it will be playable on PCs across that run Windows 10.
