ALBAWABA - In a shocking turn of events, a traveler returning from Africa to the United States was caught by a US Customs and Border Protection dog due to an "unusual odor" emanating from his luggage, which turned out to contain a very surprising and disturbing discovery: stuffed monkeys.
The passenger, who claimed to have dried fish in his luggage from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was found to have the dried bodies of four dead monkeys by inspectors at Boston Logan Airport.

Due to the risk of disease, the importation of raw or minimally processed wild animal meat is not allowed in the United States.
Port Director Giulio Caraffia emphasized the dangers of bringing "bushmeat" into the country, citing concerns about potential illnesses such as the Ebola virus that could be transmitted through such items. Ebola is a dangerous virus that can kill between 25% and 90% of those it infects, about 50% on average.
While the incident occurred sometime last month, authorities only just made the discovery public on Friday. As of now, no charges have been filed against the owner of the monkeys, but all of the individual's belongings, including the prohibited items, have reportedly been seized by customs officials.
