ALBAWABA - Travelling can be a stressful experience, requiring ample amounts of time, effort and money. While it's always reassuring to have familiar belongings with us, mishaps do happen, as was the case on a Swiss International flight travelling from Zurich to Spain.
Reports indicate that not a single passenger received their luggage upon arrival. Naturally, the passengers were quite distressed and were left waiting for their bags in the airport for a lengthy period of time.
Blamed on staffing issues, Swiss has admitted the error, although offered little explanation as to why it happened.
The situation began when the flight was delayed, and then ultimately did not take off until almost an hour and a half past its original departure time. The flight was operated by Edelweiss, carrying 111 passengers en route to Bilbao, located in the northern part of Spain.

The airline identified a shortage of ground staff as the culprit, causing a delay in the crew's ability to load all the luggage onto the plane. As a result, the crew was forced to choose between waiting for the issue to be resolved or taking the passengers to their destination without their belongings.
The occurrence of lost luggage is never a pleasant one, and the passengers affected are likely to feel the inconvenience for some time.
