ALBAWABA On Tuesday, Sharjah Police announced the prohibition of New Year's Eve celebrations and fireworks displays as a demonstration of solidarity with the people of Gaza. The police force urged the public and organizations to adhere to the directive, emphasizing that legal action would be taken against those violating the ruling.
The General Command of Sharjah Police, revealing the decision through social media, stated that the measure was taken as a genuine expression of solidarity and human cooperation with the people in the Gaza Strip.
Since the outbreak of the war on October 7, more than 20,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip. The UAE leadership has consistently called for a permanent ceasefire to safeguard civilian lives.
