A woman had her arm hacked off by a plane's propeller in front of her horrified husband after she climbed out the aircraft which was stuck on the runway in Florida.
Lynn Gray, 45, was with her spouse Walter, both from Naples, at Key West International Airport on Saturday at around 8.45pm when their single-engine plane became stuck.
Mr Gray, who was the pilot, left the plane running to check on the issue after being unable to taxi the rented Cessna 172S down the runway, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Although told to stay inside, Mrs Gray also got out to help remove wheel chock when she was sliced by the propellers at the front of the aircraft.
Her arm was reportedly severed and she was airlifted to hospital in Miami.
Mrs Gray is reportedly in a stable condition after she was transferred from Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami.
Authorities do not know why the plane would not start. The Florida Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
