ALBAWABA - A heartwarming story emerged recently, shedding light on the resilience and dreams of a Palestinian child named Assef Abu Mahadi. In a video clip featuring Palestinian journalist Hani Abu Rizq, Assef expressed his desire to meet Yassine Bounou, the renowned Moroccan international goalkeeper.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding Assef's life, his foot had been amputated due to the violence inflicted upon the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation. Yassine Bounou wasted no time in fulfilling the young boy's wish.

On Monday evening, Hani Abu Rizq took to his Instagram account to share yet another video clip. This time, he made a video call with Yassine Bounou, who plays for Al Hilal Saudi Club. The call provided Assef, who had aspired to become a football player before his injury, the opportunity to engage in conversation with his idol.
Assef expressed his admiration, saying, "I love you very much. You are a role model for me. My dream is to meet you. The Moroccan national team is the best." In response, Bounou assured the child that they would meet soon.
Following the call, Assef also had a chance to speak with another player, Ayoub El Kaabi, who greeted him warmly. Overwhelmed by the experience, the young boy's emotions got the better of him, and tears streamed down his face.
It is stories like these that remind us that there are always kind people out there who would be willing to bring joy to others who need it without expecting anything in return.
