Iconic Disney animator Ruthie Tompson, who worked on the classics dies aged 111.
She had been working with Walt Disney since the Alice Comedies which predate Mickey Mouse up until the late 70s.

Ruthie Tompson, who began her career at the Walt Disney Studios as a painter in the Ink and Paint Department during the first golden age of Disney animation.

Tompson contributed to numerous Disney animated films during her 40 years with the company, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia, Dumbo, and The Rescuers.
She spent four decades at the Walt Disney Co.
“Mickey Mouse and I grew up together,” she often said.
Tompson "passed away peacefully in her sleep" on Sunday at her home at the Motion Picture and Television Fund in Woodland Hills, California, the Walt Disney Company announced Monday in a statement.

Ruth Irene Tompson was an American camera technician, artist, and supercentenarian. She was born on July 22, 1910, in Portland, Maine, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. The family relocated to Los Angeles and their house was in the same block as the house of Robert Disney, uncle of Walt Disney. This is where Roy and Walt Disney lived when they first came to Los Angeles.
