As the world reacts to the worsening coronavirus crisis, many people have chosen to self-isolate, work from home and stockpile essential supplies.

While good hand hygiene is imperative to stopping the spread of the disease, some have taken to creating their very own coronavirus-inspired nail art for Instagram.

The bizarre new trend has seen users sharing odd looks inspired by the virus under the hashtag 'coronavirusnails' - including sets featuring 3D models of COVID-19's chemical make up.

Some designs feature people wearing medical masks while others have painted their talons to resemble bottles of hand sanitiser.
