A wild monkey was captured on film taking care of a tiny kitten and grooming in on top of a wall in Malaysia.
The primate lifted up the kitten while running along a narrow ledge before laying it down to start cleaning its fur.
He began carefully picking out the lice - as another cat looked on curiously.
The touching scene took place on a wall outside a home in Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia, on October 25.
Onlooker Romy Shah joked: 'This is kidnapping! Cat owners, be careful of monkeys!'
Romy said he watched the pair for several minutes before the monkey carried the kitten away.
The cat then jumped down to its friend.
He said: 'It was very cute. The monkey looked like he was very attached to the kitten.'
