A Saudi boy stabbed his 18 month-old sister in the neck and chest after watching sheep being slaughtered during Eid al-Adha.
The wounds he inflicted to the defenseless tot were so severe, according to Arab press reports, that the baby sister was in danger of bleeding out to death. Luckily, her parents came to the rescue when they caught their boy in the act of butchering their baby, and just in the nick of time.
The five year-old child was evidently attempting to mimic the act of slaughtering a sheep for the 'Feast of Sacrifice' as per custom in the Muslim world. Following a seasonal visit to the slaughter house with his father and three-year old brother in toe, where he was glued to the graphic spectacle of the butchering of the sheep for the holiday, the boy tried this at home.

The boy’s father stated that after they arrived home he was shocked to find his unattended 18-month old infant bleeding severely, while his son was attacking her with a knife.
The father rushed his daughter to the nearest hospital where medics attended to her stab wounds.
Saudi citizens condemned such an act, saying that children should not be exposed to this type of scene.
