A Saudi Arabian businessman paid a staggering $1.33 million for a palm tree frond spelling out the name of “Allah.”
According to the Saudi news portal “Sabq,” the unique piece was being displayed amongst artifacts and paintings at the Art & Fashion Exhibition in Riyadh between 27-29 March of this year.
The original owner had discovered the prized-possession while picking dates from a palm tree in his father’s Ta’if house.
The “Allah” frond had been sitting there unscathed for over 25 years, according to Sabq.
Ahmad Bin Khader Al Ghamedi told Sabq that he keeps his latest purchase in a securely-locked glass box in his Mecca home. He stated that he will be showing the “Godly” piece off at every exhibition he’s asked to participate in.
In addition, Ahmad said that he will designate a special place in his home where anyone is welcome to visit and see the "miracle" piece for themselves.
