Online newspaper Watan Serb reports that social media is abuzz with pictures from a wedding inside a Tunisia prison.
According to social media users, the wedding took place on August 4th in al-Nadhour prison in Binzirt, Tunisia. Some reports indicate that only the groom was behind bars, and his wife is willing to wait through his incarceration.
Family members were allowed to attend and the common room was decorated will full wedding flair - one could hardly tell that they were inside a prison!
The Tunisian prison authorities and the Interior Ministry confirmed that they organized the wedding and provided the decorations. While details about the reason behind the incarceration were not released to the public, the inmate appears to be in high standing with the guards and prison officials.
