Shamekh Bluwi, a Saudi designer based in Amman, had the idea of using cityscapes and architectural details in his fashion sketches.
How? Bluwi would draw his sketches of women in billowing, elegant gowns, and then cut out the outline of the dress, leaving it exposed to fill with any bakground.
Despite being a fashion designer, Bluwi has an architecture background, so maybe that accounts for his ability to find inspiration in cityscapes.
And then he decided to turn his designer's eye to Cairo:
Even this pink carpet served as inspiration.
Thre are countless more examples of his work over on his Instagram page, @shamekhbluwi. We can't wait to see what landmarks or cities will make it into his designs next!
