Following her pattern of showing long, flowing skirts and unprecedented hijabs, the Muslim designer Anniesa Hasibuan who hails from Indonesia stunned her audience again with an intense, regal runway show at New York Fashion Week.

The glittering silvers and sparkling golds made the models look royal and refined as they walked to the backdrop of fierce, energetic music. Knockout pieces include a ball gown composed of rose gold tulle made in the shape of roses paired with bronze and black, and the closing piece, an all black gown and cape stitched with Hasibuan’s signature “A” in gold.

It was reported that most of the people on the runway were immigrants, green card holders, and 1st/2nd generation Americans. All of them were also wearing makeup from their halal-friendly beauty sponsor, Wardah. Who else wants to see more designers like Hasibuan around?
