The Ajman Criminal Court has sentenced two Asian women to five years in prison followed by deportation for human trafficking and running a brothel in Ajman.

According to the prosecution, the accused brought young girls from their country after promising them jobs and then forced them into prostitution. Three other Asian accomplices of the women were sentenced to three-year jail term followed by deportation for their involvement in the crime.

The court was told by the prosecution that the accused women locked up the victims in a room. They also took pictures of the girls and posted it in social media to attract men for prostitution. The women, aided by the three accomplices, also dropped girls to hotel rooms and houses of interested men after collecting money.

According to police investigation records, the first accused, identified as N.G, had been staying in the country illegally after the expiry of her residence visa. She offered baby-sitter jobs to young girls in her country and brought them to Ajman. They rented an apartment in Ajman under one of her accomplices' name and transformed it to a brothel.
