Daesh has used all sorts of sophisticated propaganda to encourage people to join the bandwagon of the self-described caliphate - from print magazines to videos and encrypted messaging apps. If the prospect of life on the frontlines of religious war isn't attractive enough for you, there's also Nutella, kittens, and good salaries - although there has been cost-cutting in that department lately. And now, according to a report by CNN, Daesh has a new secret weapon: "Jihotties."

The segment is based on a blog by a Malaysian woman who joined the militant group in 2014, quoting her blog as saying, "After a few minutes, I flip my niqab," the news organisation quoted the blog as saying. "He looked at me. Our eyes catch each others’. I had palpitation that is faster than the speed of light."

CNN cites this "match.com" approach as a recruitment tool for women. "'Jihotties' refers to men who are displaying the masculinity, what heroes they are and how amazing they are as good Muslim men who are brave and are willing to fight," one analyst said.
