Egyptian Court Accused Sabaya Alkher's Anchor Reham Saed of Abducting Children

The Giza Criminal Court acquitted the anchor of Sabaya al-Kheir TV program Reham Saeed, Thursday, over charges of child abduction.

The court sent two defendants Attya Nasser and Mohammed Taha to 15 years in prison and fines of LE 200,000 ($11,324).

The court also sentenced Islam Khalid to prison for five years with the court issuing a suspended sentence to the TV programmer Gharam Abdel Fattah to one year of labor.

The court rulings were issued by judge Abdel Moneam Abdelsatar and Mohammed Ahmed Al-Gendy.

The prosecution and the police investigations revealed Saeed and the TV programmers were involved in kidnapping the children to appear in a TV episode.

According to the investigations, one of the defendants revealed that Saeed incited him to abduct children and commit the crime of human trafficking.
