A source from Egypt’s largest newspaper, Al-Ahram, said on Thursday that journalists have detained Editor-in-Chief Abdel Nasser Salama, demanding his removal.

Salama was appointed by the Mohamed Morsi administration that was ousted by the army and popular demand on Wednesday.

The army, along with political and religious forces, delegated the head of the constitutional court as an interim president.

He was sworn into office earlier on Thursday.
