A memorandum of understanding was inked on Wednesday between the Yemeni oil ministry and Chinese Sanko oil company.
Under the terms of this memo, the two sides would cooperate in the fields of oil and gas explorations and petrochemicals. According to SABA news agency, the memo signed by Deputy Minister of Oil Abdul-Maleek Alamah and chairman of the Chinese company Foshanj Ayo.
Meanwhile, President Ali Abdullah Saleh received a delegation from the Chinese company and representative of Hanbar corporation for development, Ramzi Hanbar.
In the meeting, aspects of the cooperation between Yemen and China and chances of investments were discussed.
The Chinese side expressed willingness to invest in different fields such as energy, oil and gas as well as petrochemical industries in the Aden Free Zone and tourism. (menareport.com)
