The Tunisian city bus company Société Nationale de Tunis (SNT) and Volvo Buses have signed two contracts, one for 49 B10MA and one for 42 standard version B7R 4x2.
The bodywork of the buses will be delivered from Volvo Buses’ factory in Brazil before the end of November. Volvo Buses’ importer and bodybuilder, Setcar-Magrimex, will build the vehicles, and which are expected to be delivered between January and March 2004.
“We believe in Tunisia and the country’s growth potential and it is already one of the most important markets for our international business region”, said Volvo sales manager for the Middle East and North Africa, Håkan Sjöberg.
Volvo is the world’s second largest bus manufacturer, with a complete range of heavy buses. The product range includes complete buses and coaches as well as chassis combined with a range of services.
