In 2018, Forbes Billionaires List didn't include any Saudis due to their detention, and having their assets seized by the authorities.

As a result, the Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris ranked first among his peers in the Arab world with a net worth of $6.6 billion.

It's worth mentioning that 31 Arabs made it to Forbes list last year with a total wealth of $76.7 billion. The UAE and Lebanon had the highest number of billionaires, with 7 entries each, followed by Egypt with 6 billionaires.
